The MUT wishes all educators, school personnel and students a fruitful scholastic year. The union has been working incessantly during the past months to ensure a smooth start of the scholastic year and assisted several members during this period. In view of the shortage of clerical staff in a number of state schools, the union is directing all educators in state schools to refrain from carrying out clerical duties. Clerical duties are beyond the list of duties of educators and educators cannot make up for such shortages.
