In a meeting held this afternoon the MUT Council has accepted a proposal made by the President to set up a working group and hire the services of professional auditors to restart the election process from scratch. More details will follow in the coming days.

The MUT would like to clarify that it was not involved in any discussions regarding feedback sessions on Learning Outcomes for LSAs and LSAs therefore cannot be expected to attend these sessions. In view of this, LSAs are directed to stick to official communications received from MEDE regarding these sessions and ignore other directions.

The MUT wrote to the DG Operations after the Union received many complaints, especially from Primary Schools, because the scheduled meetings related to LOF will be too close to examinations. Following discussions with Dr. Cuschieri and the Secretariat for Catholic Education, a way forward for the issues relating to the literacy team was found. The MUT is henceforth lifting the directives on this issue. Members are to notify the Union in case of any incident which they feel is out of place.
