The MUT shall be holding discussions with MCAST regarding the protocol and guidelines to be adopted on the reopening of MCAST. Contrary to what has been reported by some media, the MUT has not discussed or reached an agreement with MCAST regarding the matter and shall be updating members following discussions in the coming days.

The MUT held discussions with ITS regarding the protocol to be implemented for the recovery practical sessions in September. The MUT is satisfied about the protocol and its implementation and has already communicated with affected members. Discussions shall now be held regarding the protocol implementation for the academic year.

Following a verification exercise by the DIER, the MUT has obtained the sole recognition of Student Mentors at MCAST. As per usual practice, the MUT will be communicating with MCAST management and respective members regarding this development to discuss the way forward.
