Attitudes and Perceptions of the Public and Scientists towards Projects that foreground Popular engagement with Science – the Case of Malta’s Café Scientifique

This presentation will discuss the perceptions of and attitudes of the Maltese public and scientists towards Malta’s Café Scientifique, a programme that is meant to engage the public with science. Adopting a mixed-method approach, the presentation will report on the results that emerge from a questionnaire-based survey administered with participants and from interviews conducted with scientists. Direct feedback was also collected from the audience, after the event.
