ALL teachers with 20 years of experience or more will get 20+ new Sectoral Agreement allowance
The MUT can confirm that, following its representations in the past weeks with the Ministry, ALL teachers with 20 years of experience or more are eligible and will be provided the said allowance. This was the spirit of the Sectoral Agreement negotiations. This means that this includes teachers with 20 years of experience or more who have been instructors during part of their service and teachers who have changed schools, as long as they provide evidence of their years of experience.
We are also in a position to confirm that the implementation of the workings will be done during the coming weeks, which means that eligible teachers will start receiving the allowance very soon. The allowance, like all others included in the Sectoral Agreement, will be back dated as from January 2018. More information on this will provided accordingly.
