Senior Teacher in State and Church schools – updates
Following the publication of results for the role of Senior Teacher in state schools, the MUT is issuing the following clarification:
The role of Senior Teacher is not for one year but is indefinite unless the teacher wants to revert to the former Teacher role.
The duty to be carried out by the Senior Teacher is to be discussed and agreed upon with the Head of School by filling a form that will be provided by the Education Ministry.
The call for Senior Teacher will be issued annually for eligible Teachers to apply.
The MUT renewed the request to the Secretariat for Catholic Education to issue the call for Senior Teacher in Church Schools. The Union is informed that discussions between the SfCE and the Education Ministry are ongoing. It is expected that calls shall be issued in the coming weeks.
