MUT meets MCAST Students Council representatives
MUT held a meeting with the council representing MCAST students. Whilst serving as an introductory meeting with the new council, the discussion focused on the effects of the trade dispute and the progress in negotiations. The MUT assured students representatives that when the time shall come to lift directives affecting assessment it shall keep the interest of students and its members at the centre. The MUT is already holding internal discussions about the implications of lifting the directives on the workload of members and students and is devising a plan, to be discussed with MCAST about the mitigation measures to be taken. The Union assured student representatives that it is ready to discuss this matter further whilst taking in consideration proposals of students. The Union reiterated also that it wants to close the negotiations and solve the dispute with the Government at the earliest.
