Investigation on a State Schools College Principal
The MUT has requested the Ministry of Education to initiate an investigation on the alleged abuse of position carried out by a College Principal (HCN). The case relates to alleged coercion of educators in management posts to fill transfer forms despite their unwillingness to request a transfer to another school. This included also alleged discussions on transfers and alleged notifications of transfers to educators, an area which does not fall within the remit of a College Principal. The case, which has been corroborated by various sources, includes also an alleged public assertion by the same College Principal that all educators in management within the College will be transferred to other schools in the next three years.
The MUT has been informed that the Ministry accepted the request and an investigation shall be carried out.
