Directive to all educators in State schools on risk assessment checklists
The MUT is informed that the Ministry for Education has an on going issue with the contractor providing risk assessments in schools. Rather than tackling the situation, the Ministry ordered educators to carry out and fill in risk assessment checklists. The Union is strongly objecting that this duty is being passed to educators and is directing all educators in State schools to refrain from compiling these checklists. Any pressure on the matter needs to be reported to the MUT.
