Statement on Equality Bill 96
The MUT would like to notify members that it is currently looking into all the issues being brought up in relation to this bill, both in terms of potential discrimination towards educators and in relation to the effects on teaching and school ethos. We are currently in correspondence with authorities to understand better whether the issues are related to the spirit of the legislation or if they are just a question of incorrect wording. The MUT’s full statement will be issued once appropriate feedback is received in this regard.
