MUT issues ultimatum to MEDE after learning that LSEs in independent schools shall not benefit from adjustments to anomaly
The MUT is hereby issuing an ultimatum to MEDE to solve the anomaly of LSEs in independent schools. The union has just learnt that the adjustment to the anomaly, which was carried out after MUT’s intervention in State Schools and more recently in church Schools, shall not be applicable to LSEs in independent Schools. LSE salaries in independent schools are refunded by the government and their salary conditions are at par with their colleagues in state Schools and church Schools. This principle needs to be maintained throughout and therefore the MUT is giving an ultimatum to MEDE, which shall expire on 1st July to solve the anomaly. The MUT shall be directing members after this date accordingly.
