MUT excludes re-opening of schools before the end of this scholastic year
The MUT refers to some claims that schools may re-open anytime soon and before the end of this scholastic year. The MUT excludes that there were, or there will be, discussions leading to the opening of schools during the current scholastic year. The decision announced in March regarding closure of schools, which saw the support of MUT and other stakeholders in the task force (working group), is clear and MUT will not accept any turning back on this position. This is also being declared in view of all the preparations that are being made by educators to conclude the current scholastic year via online teaching. The re-opening of schools in the next scholastic year (the formal schooling) requires a long process of discussions which has just started. The MUT is committed to involve members in the said discussions.
