MUT issues directive to educators in State Schools who were not provided with laptops
The MUT has been complaining for months after newly recruited educators and educators whose laptops had a malfunction have not been provided with new laptops. The information which reached the Union is that there were delays with the respective tenders and which caused the delay in the provision of new laptops. However, after the drive by the same Ministry to have all resources converted to digital formats be used on such devices, the respective Directorate cannot expect educators to use technology without providing the necessary resources. In view of this, the MUT is hereby directing all affected educators to refrain from providing any material in digital format including any online inputting of marks, exam papers and all other digital material requested from time to time. This directive shall be applicable until laptops are provided.
