Update on ultimatum issued to MCAST: MUT declares trade dispute and issues directives
Following the ultimatum issued to MCAST due to its failure to adhere with the parameters of the collective agreement in terms of progressions and salary calculations of lecturing grades, together with the transfer of courses of MG2i to lecturers without compensation, the MUT is declaring a trade dispute and is issuing the following directive which shall come into force on Monday 24th May 2021: All lecturing grades are to refrain from passing any assessments and assessment marks to management on Classter or otherwise. This directive shall remain in force until MCAST adheres with the parameters of the agreement. Members who receive any undue pressure not to adhere with the directive are requested to contact the MUT.
