Update on Laptops to be retained by educators in State Schools while on leave
The MUT and the office of the CIO within MEDE have discussed the applicability date of the new policy on the collection of laptops during leave periods following feedback from members. It was decided that the new policy shall come into effect on 22nd September instead of 27th September to coincide with the start of the scholastic year. This means that teaching grades who started their leave on or after 22nd September shall retain their laptops in accordance with the new policy date. Also, educators who returned their laptops and fall into this category are going to be contacted accordingly. The union would like to thank Mr Joe Mamo, CIO for his assistance in addressing this issue.
