Transfer of Special leave – clarification
The MUT is clarifying the 35% transfer of special leave to the next scholastic year as stipulated in the State Sectoral agreement and the Church Collective agreement.
Educators can transfer up to 35% of the total special leave entitlement for the year to the following scholastic year. When worked out, the 35% of the total special leave entitlement of the year equates to 11.9h. If an educator has 11.9 hours (or less) of unutilised special leave left at the end of the school year, the unutilised special leave (up to 11.9h) is transferred to the next scholastic year. This unless the educator opts to donate the leave as per provisions.
