Telework and Right to Disconnect framework agreement in the education sector
The two organisations representing European trade unions and employers respectively, ETUCE and EFEE have reached out a framework agreement on telework and the right to disconnect in education. Negotiation on the agreement were held in the past months and the MUT and the Education Ministry had representatives during negotiations. This is a first for European unions and education employers. It is the first framework agreement between the two entities but also the first agreement at European level on telework and the right to disconnect. This agreement paves the way for further European discussions of the two themes and their implementation in European countries including Malta.
