Special leave during this period
The MUT discussed the situation with the Ministry regarding various issues in granting special leave as reported educators in various schools. It is being clarified by the union that there cannot be any stop leave during any period of the scholastic year, special leave cannot be refused arbitrarily but must be granted if it does not affect the business continuity of the school, and the requirement to be on premises ten minutes before the start of the school day does not apply during half days and hence cannot be equated with special leave. Members who experience any unreasonable situation with the granting of special leave are urged to contact the union.
