MUT requests compensation for additional contact time
The MUT wrote to the DG DES to request a direction in view of the following situation. LOF meetings led to a situation in a number of Secondary Schools where the total contact hours per week (26 lessons of 40 mins) of some teachers were exceeded. The Union has therefore requested an ad-hoc compensation (time in lieu) to affected teachers equivalent to the contact time in excess of 26 lessons.
