MUT – MCAST dispute – Way forward on negotiations has been reached
MUT and MCAST, through the intervention of the Education Ministry have reached a way forward to continue and to conclude negotiations on a new collective agreement for academic grades at MCAST. There were intense meetings in the past weeks to iron out differences between the sides and to expedite negotiations of a new agreement, Significant progress has now been registered and the MUT shall be meeting lecturing grades next Tuesday to update them about the progress in negotiations. Meetings with other grades shall follow. To this effect MUT shall be suspending the directive on student marks with effect from Tuesday 30th January 2024. MUT thanks all delegates and members for their support.
