MUT declares trade dispute with MCAST
Whilst the MUT and MCAST agreed that units at levels 1 to 3 shall be delivered according to arrangements made between the lecturer and institute management, MCAST is not accepting such arrangements and is imposing its own. The MUT has issued a directive to this effect and is receiving consistent information that MCAST is not respecting the legitimate MUT directive. Instead MCAST is threatening lecturers that it would cut their salaries, which is unacceptable.
In view of the right of MUT members to follow legitimate directives issued by the MUT, which represents all lecturers at MCAST, the MUT is hereby declaring a trade dispute with MCAST. The union shall be following all threats being reported and shall not hesitate to take action accordingly.
