MUT congratulates Labour Party on Electoral Result – ready to initiate discussions on implementation of education electoral proposals
The Malta Union of Teachers would like to congratulate the Labour Party upon the electoral result and its second mandate. The Union followed proposals presented by the Labour Party in relation to the educational sector and is willing to initiate discussions with the newly elected Government in order to implement proposals within the context of collective and sectoral agreements.
Meanwhile, the MUT also congratulated Hon. Evarist Bartolo and Hon. Konrad Mizzi on their appointment as Minister for Education and Minister for Tourism (in charge of the ITS) respectively. The Union stated that it looks forward to continue collaborating within a spirit of mutual respect and understanding for the benefit of educators and students. The MUT also thanked Dr. Zammit Lewis and sent him its best wishes for his future.
