MCAST ultimatum and notice of industrial dispute
The MUT wrote to the MCAST Principal to give an ultimatum of 48 hours following which the union shall declare a trade dispute over unsolved issues concerning errors in workings of salaries. These issues are related to a misinterpretation of the collective agreement of lecturing grades and MCAST’s MG2i work, who expect lecturers to work without compensation. The union has objected in the past about this to no avail and has no option but to escalate. Members will be provided with further updates accordingly.
