Complaint lodged against MEDE on Youth Workers
The MUT has lodged a Complaint with the Office of the Ombudsman against the Ministry for Education and Employment regarding the situation of Youth Workers. In its formal Complaint, the MUT has requested the Office of the Ombudsman to investigate the current set-up under the auspices of the said Ministry. The MUT retains that the present scenario, whereby the same entity is responsible for the operation, regulation and employment of Youth Workers, is not conducive to good governance and correct public administration. On the contrary, this situation is prejudicial to the professional standing of Youth Workers in general. The MUT’s calls upon the responsible Ministry and other authorities to rectify matters remained unheeded, hence the complaint.
