Clarification and Directive to Education Officers
The MUT is hereby clarifying that in accordance with practices in the Public Service/Sector, employees in scale 5 cannot be requested to sign the daily attendance/timesheets. On a related note and given the pressure being made on a number of Education Officers, the MUT is hereby directing all Education Officers to refrain from signing any documents regarding their attendance or physical presence at the respective offices or at any other workplace. This includes the visits/meetings (out of office) logbook which has been introduced recently. Education Officers shall continue to follow the agreed procedure to present the end of month record or telework reports. Members who receive any pressure to go against this directive are advised to contact the union.
