The MUT premises in Ħamrun are currently closed after it was confirmed that there was a positive case of COVID-19 within the premises. Until further notice, members can still use emails to contact the Union and its officials and any meetings will be conducted online. Thank you for understanding.

Members are hereby being notified that the MUT office in Hamrun will be closed on Monday 19th July 2021 due to staff development. The MUT office will reopen as usual as from Tuesday 20th July.

Please note that the MUT summer opening hours will be between Monday 21st June 2021 and Friday 10th September both days inclusive. During this period, the Union will be open between 8am and 1pm. Also, summer recess will be between Monday 9th August till Friday 20th August both days inclusive.

As part of the Easter recess, the MUT will be closed on Thursday 1st, Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th April 2021. The Union takes the opportunity to wish all educators Happy Easter – please stay safe while following all the directions and measures by the health authorities.

Due to the situation with the pandemic, the MUT would like to notify members that it is currently not conducting face-to-face meetings. MUT services will continue as usual through telephone, email and/or online meetings as required.

The MUT wrote to the Chief Justice Emeritus, Vincent A. De Gaetano to convene its best wishes on his appointment as Commissioner for Education. The MUT stated that it had very good relations with his predecessors and that it looks forward to work together for the benefit of educators, students and the education system.
