The MUT has today declared a trade dispute with MCAST following a lack of adherence to agreed deadlines in which the college had to provide counter proposal for the financials of the Collective Agreement being negotiated. Following a meeting coordinated immediately after the ultimatum was issued, the MCAST management and the MUT will be meeting tomorrow Tuesday 21st to agree on the way forward on the financial proposals. The MUT will be communicating with members accordingly.

Following the MUT’s submission of the financial proposals related to the new MCAST collective agreements a number of weeks ago, the Union contacted the management and gave an ultimatum, Friday 17th November, to receive a reaction and/or counter proposal. The Union will keep members updated on related developments.

The MUT is directing all members at MCAST to provide only the proof of purchase (receipt) when claiming the work resources allowance. Members who shall be requested to provide any other information are being requested to inform the Union.
