MCAST updates

The union is waiting for a date from MCAST to continue discussions on the new professorial grades at MCAST. Meanwhile, it is following a number of progression queries and shall be updating members directly. The MUT has also presented a request to commence negotiations for a new Collective Agreement.

Recap: meeting with members at the ITS

The union held a meeting with members to discuss a particular request from management concerning a conference in May and expectations regarding the same. The union reached an agreement about a way forward for the participation of Lecturing grades. The MUT also updated members about the commencement of negotiations on a new Collective Agreement.

During the meeting there was a discussion about expectations of MATSEC and the respective employers from teachers and HODs regarding VET and SEAC. The Union shall be drawing a list of issues as discussed and shall be meeting employers and MATSEC to discuss the situation and to seek solutions.
