ETUC contribution to quality apprenticeships in Europe
The ETUC has just concluded the project entitled “Setting Up a European Quality Framework for Apprenticeship” (2014-2016), which developed a toolkit that ensures quality apprenticeship of vocational education and the training of students in companies where they should not be considered as “cheap labour”. A summary of the final report together with Appendix 1, which includes the ETUC QUALITY STANDARDS AND QUALITY CRITERIA, is available here. This Appendix can be used by trade unions, companies, schools, governments and European and national policy makers as it is a set of quality standards with 20 important elements of apprenticeship.
