Another Pieta’ State Primary burglary – situation verging on the ridiculous
The Union was informed about yet another burglary this morning and it made contact with the school to offer assistance and support. The situation is now verging on the ridiculous and the Union reiterates its stance that it is unacceptable that educators and students have to live with the daily fear of yet another burglary because of lack of proper security. Meanwhile the Union followed the matter with the Ministry for Education and Employment and it repeated the request for urgent increased security measures at the school. The Ministry informed the Union that the procedure for increased security measures will be accelerated and stated that the respective Directorates are supporting school personnel.
