The MUT is inviting members to register for this unique opportunity to attend a seminar being held in Malta by PhD Kari Kivinen. The Seminar is being held under the auspices of HE Dr Kenneth Vella, Ambassador of the Republic of Malta to Estonia and Finland
The Seminar shall be held at the MUT Offices in Hamrun on Friday 21st April from 15.00 till 18.00. Registration is required by following the link here

The Seminar is divided as follows:
PART ONE: How to tackle disinformation and promote digital literacy?
An interactive workshop based on the Commission expert group materials, which have also been published in Maltese.
PART TWO: Teachers and students as creators – promoting creativity, innovation & entrepreneurship in the classroom
Interactive and fun session on intellectual property linked to the everyday teaching situations. Based on the EUIPO’s IdeasPowered@school teaching materials, which are also partly translated to Maltese.
Short bio
PhD Kari Kivinen, the Education Outreach Expert of the EUIPO Observatory, leads the Intellectual Property in Education project and Network, which promotes creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship and responsible digital engagement among young Europeans. He has over 30 years of work experience in teaching and management of international and multicultural schools in Finland, Luxembourg and Belgium.
He was a member of the DG EAC expert group on “Tackling disinformation and promoting digital literacy through education and training.” He has also collaborated with Joint Research Centre in developing new competences for DigComp 2.2.
Currently he combines his work in the EUIPO with lecturing on media and information literacy, digital information literacy, Intellectual Property education, and curriculum development.
Mr. Kivinen is the former Secretary-General of the European School system and ex-Head of the Finnish French school of Helsinki.
