Kindergarten and early years guidelines
The MUT is clarifying that Teachers and KGEs of early years are to take a flexible approach regarding online teaching/activities as agreed upon in the guidelines documents issued by the Ministry. The MUT is now discussing the specific practices for early years with the Ministry for Education. KGEs and Teachers of early years shall use the first days to seek ways to reach students through the platforms ahead of further guidelines about work. The union is informed that directions have been issued including that early years teachers and KGEs are connected with students for all hours during the school day. This is not the case and so members are directed to ignore such directions.
