Clarification on changes to iLearn login
The MUT was in correspondence with MEDE after it asked about a clarification about a new procedure whereby educators who have an iLearn account are being requested to provide a personal email or mobile number to link their accounts. This follows a communication received by educators with a deadline to carry out the process until 10th December.
In a reply, the Permanent Secretary at MEDE stated this is called a Self Service Password Reset mechanism and is only requested optionally so as to help educators who have not yet registered to reset their password without having to wait for the availability of MFED help desk during office hours. He confirmed more than once that it is optional and that it is up to the individual educator to choose.
