MUT requests financial compensation for educators in State Schools who are not being provided with a laptop
Despite repeated requests by the MUT to address the situation whereby newly recruited educators and other educators have been left without a laptop, the MUT made a formal request to MEDE to compensate educators for using their personal devices for work purposes. The compensation requested is based on the average cost of hiring the device. By refraining from providing laptops, MEDE is effectively making use of Educator’s personal devices since the use of digital platforms and teaching methods using technology require constant use of laptops. Affected educators are requested to fill the form HERE.
