Request for commencement on discussions on the Professional Status of KGE and LSE
The MUT has formally written to the Minister for Education and Employment to request the commencement of discussions between the Ministry and the MUT to provide a Professional Status to KGE and LSE. This is in accordance with efforts by the MUT to improve working conditions and the level of qualifications of KGE and LSE, together with the milestone reached in the new Sectoral Agreement with the creation of the new grades of KGE3 and LSE3. The Union has suggested that an ad hoc task force, having representation from the Ministry and MUT, is established to commence discussions leading to the Professional Status of these two grades.
