MCAST lecturers payment of allowances
The MUT wrote to the MCAST Principal about the settlement of allowances for lecturers which are long overdue. In light of this, the MUT has declared a trade dispute with MCAST and asked the Principal’s office to take effective steps to ensure that the payments due are affected without further delay. If the situation remains unchanged by Thursday 18th, the MUT stated that the Union will direct its members to refrain from inputting results. The Union also asked MCAST to review the position of whoever is responsible in the light of all the problems being created.
In a reply, the MCAST Principal stated that the cheques will be issued today.
