Proposed ICT syllabus not agreed upon with Union – requests for training are in breach of agreement
The MUT communicated with MEDE about a proposed introduction of a new ICT syllabus. The Union raised its concerns as teachers are being told that the said changes were discussed with the union when this was never the case. Furthermore the changes to the said subject are apparently not being done along the established curricular parameters so much that no syllabus of the said new subject is being provided. The Union is also informed about cases where teaching grades who teach both ICT and Computer Studies were being requested to attend two Inset courses instead of one, which is in breach of the agreement.
